Chebucto Community Net Board Meeting
October 29,1996

Present: David Trueman, Joan Macintosh, Carole Compton Smith, Bernie 
Hart, Ben Armstrong, Jan Fullerton, Rob Currie, Joan Brown Hicks


Bernie reported on The Telecommunities Canada 97 conference planning to date.

David reported that he understands that the Industry Canada grant for the 
development of Csuite has been signed in Ottawa.Media coverage will be 
planned. Joan and David will follow up.

Finances: Ben will be following up on promoting donations/invoices from 
Ips. Carol will follow up the details re invoices with Blaine.
David moved and Jan seconded that Blaine's hours be increased to 37.5 
hours a week and salary be increased by $1 more an hour. Motion carried.

IP event: will be planned after board strategic planning meeting. 

Policy Information Committee:discussion will be taking place with the 
chair of the committee, John VanGurp by JoanM re membership on the committee.

Volunteer Committee- Jan offered to be the volunteer coordinator if 
someone else will chair the Support and Training Committee. Jan will 
approach someone else to chair Support and Training.

Strategic Planning Session: Plans are to hold the first event on Nov 27th 
or 28th. Carol will check to see if the Bell Road campus Board room is 
available.

Next Board meeting : 7pm Tuesday November 12 at David's.
