Compton-Smith, Joan Brown Hicks, Doug Rigby

Agenda was approved. Minutes of the September 17th meeting as amended by 
Ben Armstrong on line were approved.

Financial Report: The balance as of August 31,1996 is $26,489. Carol will 
post a revised draft showing revenue and expense details.

Membership meeting: Plans are to hold this on Tuesday Ocober 15 at the 
Spring Garden Road Library
Help session 6:45 - 7:30
Meeting 7:30 - 8:30
Informal discussion & coffee 8:30 - 9:15
Joan will check the library's availability
Rob will draft a notice and send it to David to post to all members
Rob will oversee the help session

CCN Youth: Jan will go ahead with plans by CCN-Youth who wish to hold a 
Christmas fundraiser. Final plans will be posted to the board for approval.

Strategic Planning: Sub committee members will be Joan Brown Hicks, 
Bernie Hart and David Trueman.  David will be in touch with the 
facilitator and post a notice for the first meeting.

Unresolved mail: There are messages from users to the board  that have 
not been answered. 
Jan will see that these messages get forwarded to the appropriate 
committee or reply if needed.

Policy Information Committee: There are some issues that need to be dealt 
with but the committee is not presently functioning. Rob will draft a 
list of issues that need policies and follow up with the committee.

Cable PATs at the library: Rob will talk with library staff to discuss 
the problems. Joan will follow up on this.

Network switch over- started today Oct1. There don't seem to be any 
problems so far.
