Chebucto Community Net Board Minutes
November 13 1997

Present:  Peter Mortimer, Doug Rigby, Michael Colborne, Peter Morgan, Ben
Armstrong, Rob Currie, Joyline Makani, Bernie Hart, David Murdoch, Joan
Waldron

Absent:  Charlie MacDonald, David Trueman


Peter Morgan stated that the Board needs to be more organised. Designated
members should be assigned to specific area of CCN's operation and
management so that they can expect to take care of things if required.

The areas of responsibility were discussed and listed and the following
assigned:

The following were discussed:
Ben Armstrong said that training and support should have more support
Rob Currie says that membeership backlog is serious. Both Blaine and Rob
Currie are swamped. Rob explained how membership enquiries work.
Discussion about its relationship to user help.
David Murdoch explained how postmaster worked.
Membership renewals are most of enquiries.
We need to address the paid staff issue.
Bernie Hart, Michael Colborne, and Peter Mortimer will work on HR.

David Trueman says there is a program which will be added to CSuite
which will help track enquiries.
We need better service to clients.
